POSTFIRE

Dēclick designed and developed a custom survivor portal for PostFire, a nonprofit supporting people affected by the Los Angeles fires. From verified registration to personalized recovery plans and interactive budgeting, we brought complex requirements together in one platform, with a custom backend and an admin interface built for an evolving recovery effort.

Guided registration & verification

We integrated Persona’s identity checks with affected-address verification and supporting document checks in a guided registration flow. Relevant information was retrieved through APIs and saved to user profiles, reducing repeated data entry throughout the experience.

Personalized recovery plans

Our backend matched survivors with relevant guidance across 20+ overlapping user groups. On the frontend, recovery phases, step-by-step resources, and progress tracking helped users navigate their individual plans.

Interactive rebuild calculator

We developed a calculator connecting insurance coverage, available funds, and rebuilding choices to estimated costs. Users could explore scenarios and save their budgets, helping them compare options and make more informed decisions about their own rebuilding plans. DEMO >>

A custom CMS

The admin interface supported 10 content types, flexible page layouts, and tools to manage user attributes and personalization rules. PostFire’s team could update guidance and organize resources as new information became available, without relying on developers for routine changes.

PostFire’s founders joined KTLA to share how the portal helps survivors make sense of an overwhelming recovery process, offering a clearer path forward when they need it most.
